Keeping Your Protection Up to Date

Enable automatic updates in your Trend Micro settings to ensure your threat database and software engine are always current. New malware variants emerge every day, and an outdated protection engine leaves you vulnerable. Go to Settings → Updates → Automatic Updates → Enable on each of your devices.
Run a full system scan at least once a week — ideally scheduled overnight when you are not using your device. Real-time scanning catches active threats, but a full scan digs deeper into archived files, compressed packages, and system directories that may not be touched during normal use.
